Pasco County Schools budget meeting Tuesday
Land O' Lakes, Florida -- Listen up Pasco County citizens, parents and teachers! You have one more opportunity to voice your opinion on the current budget crisis the county is facing regarding education funding.
The school board will hold its second and final public hearing on the budget and proposed tax rate at 6 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the board meeting room at 7227 Land O' Lakes Blvd.
The $1 billion budget represents a 4.6 percent decrease from last year and the tax rate of $7.34 per $1,000 of taxable property value is down 30 cents from the current rate.
