Wharton Downs Sickles 29-27 | News

In week two of the high school season there were some soggy field conditions at Wharton High School, so their game with Sickles High had to be moved to the Gryphons Lair.

Early in the first quarter Wharton's Chase Litton connected with Auden Tate for a 16 yard touchdown.  But Sickles fired right back with a 16 yard strike from Isaac Holder to De'Andre Mathis. 

Then in the third quarter Wharton put the game away when Chase Litton connected to with Deon Sampson for a 62 yard touchdown. Wharton never looked back at that point, hanging on for 29-27 victory over Sickles.
