Tampa, Fl. - There's concern that gas prices may rise to some of the highest levels ever this year. AAA says here in the bay area, we are paying an average of $3.61 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas. While we've seen gas rise above $3.50 before, it has never happened this early.

There are options out there for you if you don't want to pay those prices. AAA on Westshore Blvd is hosting an Electric Car Showcase on Thursday. You have the chance to learn about the various electric and gas-powered conversion vehicles and AAA wants to dispel some common misconceptions about the cars. AAA says people are often concerned with finding a place to charge the car and the cost of charging at home.
