New Tampa hospital construction | Business
While technically in Wesley Chapel, residents of New Tampa anxiously await the opening in 2012 of the Wesley Chapel Medical Center.
Occupying 52 acres with a 200,000 square foot facility, the medical center will offer obstetrics, pediatrics, sports medicine, general surgery and a full service emergency unit with helipad.
The hospital will have 80 beds. It is expected to bring 300 to 400 new jobs to the region.
Construction is on schedule for an opening later in 2012, around September.
