New Tampa, Florida -- The Barnes & Noble at Wiregrass is inviting the public to attend a local author event on Saturday, May 18.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. over 20 local authors from the Tampa Bay area will be at the Barnes & Noble for a meet and greet and as well as a book signing.

If you missed the sold out ballet gala, “Ballet’s Greatest Hits!”, held at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in January, you can catch it on film!

“Ballet’s Greatest Hits!” has been made into a movie that is playing around the country. It will hit the screen on March 31 at 2 p.m. and April 2 at 7 p.m. at the Carmike Royal Palm 20 at 5125 26th St East Bradenton, 34203.

Tampa, Florida-- Student jazz ensembles have a terrific opportunity coming up at the Patel Conservatory at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, as the nonprofit arts organization will present the Straz Student Jazz Festival on Saturday, April 13.

8th annual Suncoast Arts Festival winners announced

More than 100 fine artists and craftsmen made the premier art event the finest in Pasco County. Each year, proceeds from the family-friendly event benefits Art for Kids

PTEC campuses host regional SkillsUSA competition this week

PTEC campuses host regional SkillsUSA competition this week

More than 500 students from Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties are expected to compete in the two-day SkillsUSA regional competition Feb. 6 - 7 at pTEC, Clearwater and St. Petersburg.

Students will compete in numerous categories including automotive service technology, cosmetology, welding, photography, and plumbing.

Next Generation Ballet (NGB) student William Dugan, of Pasco County, has been selected to compete in one of the world’s most prestigious dance competitions – the Prix de Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Nearly 300 young dancers auditioned and out of the 84 candidates chosen to compete, 16-year-old Dugan is one of just 10 selected from the United States.
